New Employee Orientation & Management Application

RMI helps companies better manage their staff by outsourcing all Human Resource needs to RMI. RMI approached ThoughtLab to build an application that would streamline the new employee orientation process and allow RMI to take on clients in locations where RMI does not have physical offices. One key requirement was: Once filled out, many forms must be accessible for printing in PDF format to match the original government form format.

Results

• Has enbalbed RMI to expand their reach to areas where RMI does not have physical locations
• Upon release RMI was immediately able to bring on 3 new, large clients they would normally have been forced to turn away
• In the first 24 hours the application was live RMI had almost 400 new orientations fully processed and 700 orientations processed within the first 4 days (this would have been impossible to accomplish previously and RMI saved a bunch of money on postage)
• Out of the first 700 users who used the system only 6 called to ask any questions and in most of these cases the primary question was "are you sure you are getting all of the necessary information on the W4?" This was due to the fact that the form felt so much shorter than what people are used to filling out on paper, but yes... all the proper info is collected.
